Kyeonghee Monica Lee, Ph.D., D.A.B.T., serves as Associate Fellow, Manager of Biological Sciences Insights within Regulatory Sciences for Altria Client Services (ALCS) in Richmond, VA. In this role, she is responsible for identifying, building and utilizing innovative and pragmatic toxicological evaluation approaches, regulatory and foundational testing needed to support product development, regulatory compliance and external engagement.
 
Monica is a board-certified, externally recognized toxicologist with extensive experience in both regulatory and foundational studies in in vitro and in vivo models. She has published numerous peer-reviewed articles, continually presented scientific presentations covering a wide array of subject matter including reduced-risk disease models, comparative toxicology, and pharmacokinetic modeling. Monica builds internal preclinical testing framework and expands relationships with our contract lab partners, PMI, CORESTA and other scientists across the industry and beyond.
 
Before joining ALCS in 2015, Dr. Lee held a variety of technical and leadership roles with increasing responsibilities serving as: BioScience Director at the Scientific and Regulatory Affairs at the JT International, Geneva, Switzerland; Project Manager of Industrial Projects / Study Director of the U.S. National Toxicology Program studies at Battelle TNW, Richland, WA; Post-Doctoral Fellow for Computational Modeling & In Vitro Projects at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratories, Richland, WA.
