Adult tobacco consumers are at the center of everything we do. From scientists to engineers and product developers to consumer researchers, we are accelerating investments in understanding their needs, moments and preferences, which in turn, enables us to develop innovative smoke-free products that reduce the harm caused by tobacco.

We follow a rigorous scientific framework for evaluating potentially reduced-risk tobacco products and supporting product applications to the Food and Drug Administration. This framework enables us to evaluate smoke-free products from product design to individual risk assessment to overall population impact.
